The Magic of Michoacan, Dinner and Mezcal Tasting

A one-of-a-kind seminar featuring small plates and mezcal from Michoacan. Learn the tradition and culture behind mezcal with SACRED.

Osito’s Tap is proud to welcome La Luna Mezcal for a special dinner and tasting during Mezcal Week. Chef Moreno & Diana will be creating a menu that has been influenced by the cuisine of Michoacan, rich with avocados, pork, and cheese. And you’ll get to taste all of the influences in the amazing mezcal that La Luna offers from that same state.

You’ll be walked through a tasting of six neat mezcal that explain not only the traditions of mezcal in Michoacan but also the reason that mezcal has grown in popularity around the world in recent years. The tasting will be led by SACRED founder and Agave Road Trip cohost Lou Bank, who won the Golden Spirit award for his 2018 Tales of the Cocktail presentation, “So you think you know mezcal…”

In addition to tasting La Luna’s critically acclaimed spirits neat, you’ll also be treated to a couple of cocktails that will help explain what makes mezcal cocktails so unique. Each guest will also receive $5 off any La Luna Mezcal purchased that night at Morenos Liquors.

In order to promote social distancing this event is limited to 20 people in our outdoor patio area. Please use the event map to choose your spot. We have tables to accommodate groups of two, three, and four, and each table is distanced six feet apart. Masks are required whenever you aren’t sitting and we ask you to please use our complimentary hand sanitizer.
